Efficient and precise handling at high lifting heights
The automated R-MATIC reach truck transports goods of up to 1,600 kg, and stores and retrieves them up to a height of 11 meters. The range of masts means that it is especially suited to handling at medium to high lifting heights and to supplying workstations, as well as being suitable for warehouses or material transportation. The R-MATIC uses its 3D camera to detect the storage location in the rack and the pallet openings. It can store and retrieve its load precisely by adjusting the prongs. The truck’s natural feature navigation does not require any additional infrastructure, and can be used flexibly in changing operating environments. In addition, the R-MATIC interacts safely and efficiently with people, non-automated forklifts, conveyor belts, and packing stations. Dual Mode means that the R-MATIC can also be controlled manually. Optionally, an automated charging solution is available, which allows for a completely automated process.
Characteristics
Safety
Thanks to its extensive safety equipment, the R-MATIC monitors its entire surroundings and reacts reliably whenever people, forklifts, or obstacles are blocking its path or are situated in its workspace. The monitoring areas of the laser scanners automatically adapt to the driving speed and the radius of the corner, allowing the trucks to work in confined spaces. A 2D curtain laser also detects obstacles in high-up places, such as protruding loads or suspended objects.
- Extensive safety equipment
- All round observation of the working environment
- Automatic speed adjustment
- Working in tight spaces possible
- 2D curtain laser detects higher objects
Handling
The R-MATIC’s natural feature navigation does not require any additional infrastructure. The 3D camera means that even the handling of loads at heights of up to 11 meters can take place precisely and efficiently. This makes the truck particularly suitable for automated storage and retrieval of pallets at medium and high heights, as well as for supplying workstations. There is the option available for goods to be identified via a barcode scanner. If necessary, the R-MATIC can import the data read into companies’ ERP and warehouse systems.
- Navigation without additional infrastructure
- Storage height up to 11 meters
- 3D camera for precise load handling
- Detection of goods by optional barcode scanner
- Interface to WMS and ERP systems
Servicing
The natural feature navigation without additional infrastructure makes it particularly easy, quick, and seamless to integrate the R-MATIC into intralogistics processes. Adjusting and scaling the system can also be done in a very flexible way. When maintenance work is required, the truck data from the R-MATIC can be read out and analyzed using a service laptop. All the service components are also easily accessible.
- Fast and simple implementation
- Flexible adjustment and scaling
- Digital diagnostics tool
- Easily accessible service components

Optional Equipment
Triplex masts
Various triplex masts are available for R-MATIC for lifting heights of 6.8 m to 11.3 m.
Barcode scanner
The truck can be fitted with a barcode scanner, allowing goods to be identified and data to be imported directly into a warehouse system, if required.
3D camera
The innovative 3D camera enables precise and efficient load handling up to a storage height of 11 meters.
Safety edges
In order to be able to transport pallets with a width of more than 900 mm, the load arms can be equipped with safety edges. These prevent the truck from being damaged when the pallet is lowered.
Automated Charging
When charging is low, the R-MATIC automatically locates the charging station, enabling completely automated operation. This charging solution is available in combination with TPPL batteries (one to two-shift operation) and Li-Ion batteries (two to three-shift operation).
