Ergonomic order picking on a pallet
The N16 Li order picker from Linde Material Handling enables a particularly high picking output: As the operator platform is positioned in front of the battery, the driver has a good view of the warehouse environment. Even in narrow aisles, the operator quickly maneuvers the truck into the desired position thanks to the small turning circle. With the aid of the lift, the forks can be raised to an ergonomic height of up to 790 mm for loading. With the optional Autolift, the truck automatically lowers the forks in proportion to the increasing height of the load. This eliminates the need for manual operation of the lift and the operator always picks orders at the optimum height without unnecessary interruption. The entire operator platform is spring-loaded and absorbs vibrations and shocks during transport.
Characteristics
Safety
The N16 Li order picker has a three-part braking system that adapts to both the environment and the current load weight: The electromagnetic service brake is coupled with a dead man's switch and the emergency-stop button. A hydraulically assisted brake increases braking power as the load weight increases. In addition, the truck stops automatically when the drive control is released. When cornering, the N16 Li reduces its speed to protect the driver and goods. In addition, an optional load backrest stabilizes the load, ensuring the safety of the operator. The self-centering power steering requires only a small amount of steering angle, reducing operator movement within the operator platform. Additional options such as a front LED and Linde BlueSpot™ maximize safety in the warehouse.
- Three-part brake system
- Dead man's switch and emergency-stop button
- Reduction of speed in curves
- Self-centering steering
Ergonomics
The operator platform with a low access height of 13.7 centimeters allows easy entry and exit. All contours of the platform are rounded and numerous compartments and holders provide storage space for necessary equipment. Thanks to the lifting forks, the operator can pick orders at a back-friendly height. This can optionally be supplemented by the Autolift, which automatically adjusts the height of the forks according to the load height. For short distances, the operator conveniently controls the forklift truck using the pedestrian function. Both the intuitive Linde steering wheel and the backrest with fold-out seating support are optionally height-adjustable. In addition, the operator platform is fully spring-loaded and reduces vibrations and jolts while driving. The clear symbols on the control elements allow new drivers to be quickly familiarized with the system.
- Low entry height
- Rounded contours
- Compartments and holders for equipment
- Pedestrian operation
- Intuitive Linde steering wheel
- Fully suspended operator platform
Handling
Powered by a 3 kW three-phase AC motor, the N16 Li quickly accelerates to a top speed of 12 km/h. The truck’s four-point contact with the ground ensures high stability. An initial lift function facilitates transport over ramps and bumps. Thanks to the optionally available lithium-ion battery, the driver can use their breaks to recharge the truck, leading to less downtime. A multifunction display keeps the driver updated about the current charge status of the order picker. The driver intuitively controls all driving and mast functions via the Linde steering wheel. The optional Autolift function eliminates unnecessary movements by automatically lifting and lowering the forks.
- Powerful 3 kW three-phase AC motor
- Four contact points with the ground
- Initial lift function for transport over ramps
- Lithium-ion battery
- Linde steering wheel with integrated mast control
Service
The N16 Li requires only minimal maintenance: The truck runs for up to 1,000 operating hours without a service check. The three-phase AC technology is maintenance-free and there is no need for the brakes to be readjusted. All serviceable components are easily accessible to the technician after removal of a service panel. Essential truck parameters can be read out via a CAN bus connection using a laptop. A robust cast steel bumper protects the spring-loaded operator platform and thus reduces collision damage.
- 1,000 operating hours without servicing
- Maintenance-free three-phase AC technology
- No need to re-adjust brakes
- CAN bus connection

Fleet management
The Linde connect fleet management solution allows, among other things, for the usage of trucks to be analyzed in order to optimize the servicing or utilization of the fleet.
Front LED
The LED light is located in the front and has a high level of brightness. It is water- and dust-proof.
Load backrest
An additional protection for driver and load is the load backrest, which can be adapted to the height of the load.
Linde BlueSpot™
The Linde BlueSpot™ route warning system increases safety in operation, as the LED spot makes trucks silently visible.
Lithium-ion technology
With Linde's innovative lithium ion batteries, trucks can be recharged in a much shorter time and intermediately charged during operation.
Pedestrian controls
On both sides of the forklift truck there are pushbuttons on the lift mast. The driver uses them to operate the order picker from the outside and walks alongside at the same time.
Lateral battery change
The lateral battery removal by means of roller bearings and the ergonomic lever enables a quick change, especially for use in multi-shift applications.
Rubber bumper
The rubber bumper reduces shocks in the event of a collision, thus protecting driver, forklift, and infrastructure such as racks.
Accident monitoring
Whether driving errors, uneven surfaces, or improper forklift use - a shock sensor registers shocks. The evaluation of the data via the fleet management software provides information on the cause of damage and accidents.
Access control
Access control via the connect fleet management system ensures that forklift trucks are only used by authorized persons. The driver must identify himself by PIN or RFID card before the forklift truck is started.
