Order Pickers V modular

Modular High Lifter

Top Order Picking Performance at any Height

The V modular vertical order picker reaches picking heights of up to 14.5 meters and, depending on the model, has a load capacity of up to 1200 kilograms. The vibration-cushioned cabin, the low entry height and the ergonomic railing height take the strain off the driver and make order picking easier. High lifting and travel speeds ensure top picking performance. Linde offers two versions of the V modular: In the version with additional lift, the operator picks from the cabin onto the pallet in front, which is always positioned at an ergonomic height. The version with front-opening cabin allows the operator to access the safely secured pallet and to pick the goods from there. Thanks for the modular design, the V modular can be precisely adjusted according to the requirements on site. Operators can choose between different chassis widths, battery sizes, mast variants and cabin designs.

Characteristics

Safety

In order to move the V modular, the driver must cover the sensor-monitored control elements with both hands and at the same time operate the dead man’s switch with their foot. This means that operating errors and the risk of the operator being injured are almost excluded. In addition, the truck will not lift the cabin beyond a height of 1.2 meters if the electrically monitored side barriers are not closed. The emergency lowering valve under the rear cover is easy to access in a hazardous situation. Furthermore, the V modular can optionally be equipped with various assistance systems. For example, the aisle safety assistant can be used to define travel and lift stops in order to avoid collisions with the infrastructure. The mobile personal safety equipment (mobile PSE) monitors the route and stops the truck if people or obstacles are detected. The Linde System Control calculates the remaining load capacity for the respective lifting height and warns the driver if there is a risk of overloading. For wide-aisle applications, the optional Red Warning Lines light system ensures that pedestrians and other trucks keep a sufficient distance from the truck.

  • Two-handed operation for increased safety
  • Electrically monitored side barriers
  • Red Warning Lines warn pedestrians and other trucks
  • Mobile personal safety equipment detects people and obstacles
  • Linde System Control warns about overloading when lifting loads
  • Emergency lowering valve under the rear cover
  • Pre-adjustable travel and lift stops with the aisle safety assistant

Ergonomics

The wide cabin entrance and low entry height facilitate access to the V modular, while the low railing makes it easier to pick up and put down goods. A soft floor mat cushions vibrations and prevents the driver getting tired. The driver can work comfortably in the spacious driver’s compartment. A convenience cover on the mast end of the cabin is available on request, and this offers additional storage space e.g. for a trash can or wrapping foil. The patented ergo pad from Linde allows the operator to lean back, relieving muscle tension. The control panel of the V modular can be mounted on the mast end, load end or on both ends depending on the requirements. The color display allows the driver to keep an eye on important parameters such as speed, lifting height, remaining load capacity and steering angle. The display also provides information from optional systems such as the Linde Warehouse Navigation. The truck can optionally be equipped with tilting barriers, which easily fold outwards when the operator leans against them, therefore making it easier to access the racking.

  • Ergonomic control panel
  • Multifunctional color display
  • Spacious cabin
  • Suspension cab with anti-vibration mat
  • Low railing
  • Ergo pad to lean on
  • Tilting barriers

Handling

The V modular reaches picking heights of up to 14.5 meters and speeds of up to 13 km/h, optimizing handling performance in the high rack warehouse. In addition, high lifting speeds and residual load capacities, as well as low energy consumption, make the truck extremely efficient. At the same time, a redesigned chassis and improved load arms guarantee greater stability and optimum maneuverability. Linde offers two triplex masts for the V modular. The standard version with free lift is particularly suitable for warehouses with structural restrictions, such as racks over the transfer aisle. The variant without free lift allows for quicker lifting because the speed does not need to be reduced during the mast transition. In addition to the standard version with additional lift, the V modular is also available with walk-on pallet, in which case the forks are fixed on the truck and surrounded by a safety cage. The cabin is open on the fork side, meaning that the driver can access the pallet for order picking. An innovative control concept ensures that all travel and mast movements transition fluently into each other.

  • Picking lift height up to 14.5 meters
  • High lifting and travel speeds
  • High residual load capacity
  • Two variants for the triplex mast
  • Walk-on pallet possible
  • Innovative control concept
  • Low energy consumption

Service

The travel and lift motors of the V modular are fully encapsulated. As a result, they are completely protected from dust and dirt and almost maintenance-free, which improves the availability of the trucks and drastically reduces costly downtimes. The entire design is optimized for easy servicing. The central components are behind a screen, making it simple and quick for service technicians to access them. The technician can read out and check all data easily on the service laptop via a CAN-bus connection. To simplify fault analysis, all narrow-aisle trucks from Linde have the same diagnosis connection.

  • Maintenance-free drive and lift motors
  • Easily accessible service components
  • Encapsulated motors to protect against dust
  • CAN bus structure

Optional Equipment

The Personal Protection System (PPS) uses laser scanners to detect people in a safety zone of up to nine meters in front of and behind the vehicle.

Personal Protection System (PPS)

In accordance with DIN 15185, laser scanners detect people in a safety zone of nine metres in front of and behind the vehicle. If a person is detected, a warning signal sounds, and the vehicle stops automatically. Two additional, adjustable warning fields allow the speed to be reduced even before the safety zone and can also be used for changing the aisles safely.

Linde System Control (LSC)

The system ensures rapid turnaround and enhanced safety. In the basic LSC Standard version, the remaining load capacity for the respective lift height is displayed to the operator. Extended LSC versions adapt the travel speed to the transported load weight.

Control Panel and Color Display

The ergonomic control panel can optionally be applied on the load end, mast end or on both ends. The operating logic remains the same irrespective of the selected position. The color display of the control panel shows all the important information, such as the time, speed, lifting height and steering angle, at a glance.

The mast of the V modular in detail.

Triplex Mast without Free Lift

Linde offers two different mast concepts in the triplex area. Firstly, the tried-and-tested standard version with free lift, which is particularly suitable for warehouses with structural restrictions such as racks over the transfer aisle. Secondly, there is a variant without free lift, in which the speed is not reduced during the mast transition, allowing for the driver’s compartment to be lifted quicker.

The tilting barriers of the V modular in use.

Tilting barriers

If the driver leans on the barrier, it folds outward by 10 cm. This gives the operator better access to the racking, making order picking easier and safer.

Walk-on pallet

The pallet is secured against tilting and slipping and is also surrounded by a safety cage. It is therefore safe for the user to access the area and pick orders from here.

The Red Warning Lines light solution from Linde Material Handling.

Red Warning Lines

The Red Warning Lines light solution improves visibility in poorly lit areas of the warehouse. The Red Warning Lines warning light system projects red safety lines onto the floor, thereby ensuring that pedestrians keep a sufficient distance from the truck.

The aisle safety assistant from Linde Material Handling in use.

Aisle safety assistant

The assistant system reacts to defined obstacles in the rack, on the floor or on the ceiling and puts a targeted limit on truck functions, such as speed and lifting height, at these points. The truck detects its position within the narrow aisle using RFID tags or barcode labels. This prevents damage to the truck, load or racks.

The warehouse management system from Linde Material Handling in use.

Linde Warehouse Navigation

The truck receives driving jobs from the warehouse management system. Using barcode labels or RFID tags, the truck determines the location in the warehouse and measures the current lifting height. Based on this information, it guides the truck automatically to the desired pallet location. The driver only has to operate the drive function.
