High throughput in narrow aisles
The turret truck A from Linde Material Handling delivers a high throughput rate in particularly narrow aisles. This is achieved by a modern drive that, even at maximum lift heights, can achieve high-speed lifting and driving. In addition, the forklift truck can accelerate and lift at the same time. Just as beneficial are the large residual load capacity and various camera and assistance systems. These assist with things such as navigation in the warehouse, accident prevention or rapid handling at great heights. The very narrow aisle turret truck A is of modular construction. The customer can choose from different engines, batteries, lift masts, chassis, and many other features to meet their individual operating requirements.

Safety
Side seated operation gives the operator optimum visibility when driving forwards and reversing. The optional fork camera and crossline laser gives the driver improved visibility of the load at great heights. The systems make it easier to handle loads at higher rack levels and reduce the risk of accidents. The optional Dynamic Reach Control (DRC) intelligently adjusts the reach according to the current load weight, and eliminates lateral mast oscillations when storing and retrieving loads. These functions increase safety and handling performance. In addition, a service technician can program driving, lifting, and lowering end stops. This prevents accidental lifting or lowering of the load during driving. The aisle safety assistant, which is available as an optional extra, uses RFID tags or barcodes to determine its horizontal position in the aisle, and then reacts to uneven floors or obstacles on the rack or ceiling and adjusts the lift height and speed accordingly. Personnel safety equipment (PSE), which is also available as an option, uses sensors installed on the front and rear to determine whether persons or objects are in the line of travel, and stop the truck.

Ergonomics
The driver easily operates the lift axis with an ergonomically shaped, multifunction joystick. The large cab, the highly adjustable seat, and the intuitive control element arrangement guarantee a high level of driving comfort. Side seated operation gives the driver optimum visibility in all directions and prevents strenuous body movements. A soft, non-slip floor mat and an optional air cushioned seat reduce the shocks and vibrations that are transmitted to the driver. A color display shows all information at a glance.

Handling
Even at extreme lift heights, the turret truck can achieve high speeds thanks to its drive technology. In addition, there are several assistance and camera systems for handling at great heights, e.g. the automated fork cycle. At the push of a button, the truck autonomously performs three movements when storing or retrieving a pallet. The combination of the optional fork camera the crossline laser, which is also available as an option, is a great help to the operator: The laser helps to pick up the pallet precisely and the fork camera provides optimal visibility of the load when storing in high racking levels and ensures higher handling performance. The forklift truck can be incorporated into an optionally available warehouse navigation system. This enables the very narrow aisle truck to automatically reach the desired pallet location, using the fastest and most efficient route. The system runs with RFID technology or barcodes. Depending on the requirements, the forklift truck can be equipped with swivel reach forks or telescopic forks.

Service
Overall, the turret truck A's robust and durable technology achieves reduced service and lifecycle costs. The CAN bus connection ensures a simple service process: All truck data can be read and checked via a notebook. Battery replacement is achieved quickly, using a change trolley.

Personal Protection System (PPS)
In accordance with DIN 15185, laser scanners detect people in a safety zone of nine metres in front of and behind the vehicle. If a person is detected, a warning signal sounds, and the vehicle stops automatically. Two additional, adjustable warning fields allow the speed to be reduced even before the safety zone and can also be used for changing the aisles safely.
Fork camera and crossline laser
The combination of the fork camera and crossline laser makes load handling much easier. The crossline laser helps to target the pallet and to pick it up precisely. And the fork camera provides optimum visibility for storage and retrieval at high rack levels.
Aisle safety assistant
The assistance system uses barcodes or RFID tags to detect uneven floor surfaces, as well as obstacles on the racks or on the ceiling and restricts truck functions, such as driving and lifting speed, lift height or fork extension at these specific locations.
Warehouse navigation
The forklift receives driving jobs from the warehouse management system. The system detects the location in the warehouse, as well as the current lift height and guides the forklift truck to the pallet location autonomously, using the fastest and most efficient route. The driver only has to operate the driving function.
Linde System Control (LSC)
The system provides improved throughput rates and increased safety. The LSC Standard basic version informs the driver of the residual load capacity depending upon the lift height. Other LSC versions automatically adapt the driving, lifting, and auxiliary movements to the actual weight of the load being transported and the lift height.
Dynamic Reach Control (DRC)
This system combines all LSC functions and adds intelligent load stabilization. When storing or retrieving loads, the system adjusts reach according to the current load weight, and eliminates lateral mast oscillations. This enables loads to be moved faster and reduces the risk of damage to loads and racks.
